Shocking news to most, but to some we saw the signs of change coming for awhile now. The powers at Fox News have decided to throw overboard their cash cow as they slowly fall in line with the other networks and Kowtow to the government instead.
After throwing nearly 800 million dollars at a law suit from Dominion Voting Systems last week, Rupert Murdoch decided to flush his network down the toilet by kicking Tucker Carlson to the curb this week. In a move that many triumphed on other networks, the now collapsing network may have done fatal damage to itself.
The DailyMail has reported that Rupert wants to sell the network. Quoting their reporting. 'We believe Rupert wants to sell the company and it’s harder to find an institutional buyer with Tucker as the main star. Tucker gone makes it more of an appealing media company to buy,' the source said.
Most con men will tell you you don’t harm the merchandise if you still need to sell it. This move not only ruins the reputation, but it also craters the value of the network. Experts from Wall Street and financial institutions will tell you this will pummel any value the network had for resale.
Let me throw out a couple of ideas on what happens next. First and probably the most crazy is that potentially Tucker Carlson will be running for President. I know you laugh. But think for a moment. Who might be the only candidate who could go toe to toe and stop both Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump from the nomination on the Republican ticket. Arguments could be given with very little to no effort this could be done. He would rocket to the top immediately and money would flow from coffers never opened before. Half the nation would have his baby if they could.
Secondly maybe he is going to be the VP candidate. All the timing for either the VP or POTUS scenario is plausible now about a year and a half from the election. Trump seems to love him and I am sure DeSantis would be on board also. Probably hair-brained, but the nation would be rocking if it happened.
Elon Musk. Bet you didn’t see that one coming. While Murdoch tanks FoxNews and others thumb their noses at at the channel. Elon swoops in and purchases it at a far lower value than it was just a week ago. With that he hires Tucker back and they ride off into the sunset together with truth and justice on their side.
While far fetched as it may seem. Murdoch either on purpose or as a dumb move could allow Elon to continue his crusade on free speech by buying FoxNews. Painful at first, just like Twitters acquisition but in the long run Fox rebounds to crush the naysayers even more.
No matter the outcome. Tucker is going to be doing fine. He might be sipping Mai Tai’s on a beach somewhere if he wants. Or, maybe flirting with your imagination on some media platform. You can say one thing, truth tellers will always keep their heads above water. Well, until the water overwhelms us all.
