When I think of my 5 grandsons today, it is of playful times that none of us will forget. That time 10 years ago when the now 13 year old called me Burt Reynolds out of the blue. Once was funny but 10 times was crazy and intriguing at the same time. I’m pretty sure he didn’t know who Burt Reynolds was, because if he did he would have known I’m no Burt Reynolds. Jack Black yes, Burt, no. The youngest grandson is still in diapers, but when he does that Home Alone face where he opens his mouth real wide giggling at the same time. It is just precious. I admit I had a hand in teaching him to do that. But nonetheless papa has to have his fun too.
Now though times have changed to something I never thought I would see in my lifetime. Something that we have been told could never happen. War with powerful nations involved. This time it is not the United States crusading around the globe stopping the problems of others. No, this time full out war with not 1 but maybe 2 of the strongest nations this planet has ever had. Each is able to promote so much destruction that none of us can even comprehend the aftermath of all out confrontation.
My grandsons, our grandsons, our sons and our daughters are being offered unto the altar of our elite in a game of chicken with foreign leaders who do not think like us. NATO, but mostly the United States has waded into a potential war with Russia far from our homeland. Telling the world that a corrupt Ukraine is some kind of Democracy worth saving. Wearing a black hat this time we are saddled with a government lost in diplomacy of 50 years ago. One that has become so intent on puffing up its chest to make themselves look strong that it has forgotten what the actual outcome may be.
Not one, not one important person on either continent is trying to stop a disastrous situation from leading to World War 3. Let me spill the beans, there is no happy ending to this. Many more people are going to die, and even more lives will be thrust into chaos because of the decisions we are implementing today.
Here are some of the words of wisdom from our illustrious representatives.
Lyndsey Graham: We are going to fight to the last man…. The only way this war ends is when Russia breaks and they take Putin out. Anything short of that, and the war is going to continue….. So we’re in it to win it and the only way you’re going to win it is to break the Russian military and have somebody in Russia take Putin out….
This from President Biden while in Poland: “Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia.” Pivotal words from 46 have framed the war as a struggle between democracy and authoritarianism. Plenty of us follow his thinking, plus he has sought to use the defense of democracy as a rallying cry at home and abroad. Many people who agree I might add are the same ones who never seem to want war until now. Hmm seems odd?
On the other side of the Atlantic time and time again Europe can not stop themselves from telling Russia that they will get nothing. That the EU is united against evil.
Social Media and the big Media giants pummel Russia with negative propaganda every single day. We tell Putin you're out, you will never win. We tell him and his military that they are losing and will be tried for war crimes. They are told that no matter where they go or what they do there is no winning. I ask you, what would you do? Raise your hand if you would scurry back to Russia knowing you will be killed, or brought to trial as a scourge upon the world. Putin has been given only one option by the leaders of the EU, NATO, and the United States. There is no option for total loss to him. No option to find a so-called soft landing. Dead is what you will be. What do we think the mindset of this man would be?
This current administration treats this as a photo op. Not a war. President Biden goes to Kyiv, under what could no less be construed as a made-for-TV moment with fake sirens and a media who called him JFK. Literally he seems to be able to find his way to Kyiv, but can’t scurry through the back roads of Ohio and Pennsylvania to New Palestine and the disaster there. Meanwhile he tells the world repeatedly that we are in this to the end and behind Ukraine.
Biden said on ABC News this week: We have to put the Ukraine’s in a position where they can make advances this spring and summer and move to a place where they could negotiate from a position of strength.
Do not get me wrong, I love a strong leader. One who can twist the fate of anything with words of utter brilliance. Obama comes to mind. Unfortunately you need people to believe it. Not a nation lost on TikTok only able to lift their heads to say, yah, you go Joe. A nation foggy to what it all could really lead to. This President may have his own people in his cabinet believing this is the right route. But the rest of the globe does not see strength. They see him for the weak leader he is. All bluster and no bite. The United States on the other hand keeps propping up our man of the moment asking the people around the world to love our shiny apple, despite it being hollowed out by worms on the inside.
Then pivot to the messiah Zelinsky. The man before the war who was known as a puppet leader put in by America. The one also known as the most corrupt in Europe. Seemingly within days, maybe hours of getting another 10 Billion out of Old Glory he said. “It is dangerous for Americans to question the amount of aid they give Ukraine or how it’s spent. If you do not support Ukraine, you will lose NATO. They will lose the clout of the United States. They will lose the leadership position that they are adjoined in the world that they have for a very fair reason. They will lose the support of the country with 40 million in population with millions of children.”
Then he laid on the sauce of guilt towards us asking, “Are American children any different than ours? Don’t Americans enjoy the same things we do? I don’t think we’re that different. If it happens that Ukraine, due to various opinions and weakening and depleting of assistance, loses. Then Russia is going to enter the Baltic states, NATO member states, and then the US will have to send their sons and daughters. Exactly the same way as we are sending our sons and daughters to war. And they will have to fight because it’s nature that we are talking about and they will be dying.”
Conservative estimates say we may have already given $120 billion to what can be argued is already World War 3. But, it is not our obligation to go fight on Ukraine's behalf. Our children do not need to die for someone else’s cause. Every one of us wants Ukraine to win this battle. But at what cost? Not a cost in dollars, the cost in lives. I said from the beginning once Russia did not take Kyiv quickly that it would turn into the slog it is. Also that unless we jump in fully, which means WW3 against Russia, then Russia will prevail. I am saddened that I am correct.
You can even take this further and look at what is happening in Russia. What do their people here? What are they being told? Their media says we have declared War on them, that we are the aggressors and that we have gotten this way because we have become a totally sinful society. If you look at their side there might be some credence to much of those thoughts. They state that since we are pushing this war that we have committed war crimes. Just like here, the propaganda coming out of Moscow is favorable to Moscow.
During the Cold War, the US made an effort to keep Russia and China divided, despite both being murderous communist regimes. Now we’re pushing them closer together as a result of Biden’s war on autocracy. This is dangerous and foolish.
We are stimulating them to come together day by day. The sanctions have created a mutually beneficial arrangement between the CCP and Moscow which makes each even stronger. China gets cheap energy and Russia has a ruthless financial ally helping to prop up what they may need.
China now plays the game as well as anyone. First off, forget the fake non-realistic ceasefire that China proposed to make themselves look good. China has been watching the Russia Ukraine war unfold as the United States continues to prop up Ukraine, along with a few NATO nations. They have watched red line after red line get stepped over to accommodate the needs of our leaders. Now they believe that Russia is truly in a war with the west. They can now choose whether to join Russia or literally just sit this thing out and watch the other two world Superpowers destroy themselves in a prolonged war. And yes, they know we are already in a war. It is just too bad most of the United States doesn’t already know that.
Saber rattling continues to come from the US. We here quadruple the troops being added to Taiwan. Quadruple was used as a headline everywhere. Every Pravda like news organization dutifully ran out and ran that story with that exact word. But when you get into the weeds we see we are going to up the grand total to 200 troops. 200, what a scam. Despite what the United States tells you with the announcement that a small troop expansion in the West Pacific will help. Xi is laughing at that notion. China realizes that everything our leaders pour into Russia and Ukraine tells the CCP that the United States can’t enter the fray if China goes after Taiwan. Two fronts can not be fought at the same time. We must choose one. Preferably none, but that one currently is Ukraine. Thus the Red Army readies itself to a point where it can actually move forward with uniting a One China.
The United States is the most propagandized country in the world. Some people know this is happening. Yet for most they are unknowingly along for the ride, believing everything they hear. When they listen that is. We are led around by the nose ring via ads, AI, and propaganda spilled out continuously day after day. Why would we expect anything different as we head to war with the rest of the world? We’re being told the bogeyman has to be stopped while we push him into the arms of Freddy Krueger. Our government knows this is not going well, but would never have the guts to tell us the truth. The bloodthirsty killer Putin and his army will rush forward and take much of Ukraine in the next few months. And we will continue to barrel headlong into World War III, eventually, giving up our American sons and daughters to a needless cause that could’ve been stopped at the beginning.
The world is a place where love and hate collide, where hope and despair coexist in a kaleidoscope of chaos and beauty. In the midst of it all, we can remember to hold onto love and compassion put forth by our loving savior Jesus. For he is the light that shines through the darkest of times.
