So I’m listening to the Dan Bongino podcast this morning from Friday Jan 21st. He is giving a great response to fact checkers who are trying to discredit Glenn Beck’s book “The Great Reset”. These fact checkers who none of us know seem to come out of the woodwork to make claims they generally can not support. Dan hit upon the fact that if they are trying, Glenn must have hit a nerve with it. Otherwise why even try?
I tend to agree with that thought process. I’m a pastor and at times I have maybe gone a little to far in convicting someone of something they did. But, in reality I am trying to get a response for the good. Fact checkers are the opposite, they do what they do to push false claims to make you come to their side. You know the equity side.
What is equity I have asked myself many times? They utter it as if those of us in the United States have never heard of it. They proclaim we are all racist thus equity needs to be disbursed among the masses.
I’m not a young man any more. But. I do remember that while I was in school we were taught the ideals of Martin Luther King. I heard it and believe it to this day. ALL men are created equal. I also take that to mean ALL persons. Thus, I try to emulate those words daily. You can make the easy transition to the bible as we are taught to “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” it is also known as the "Golden Rule”. The actual quote from the Bible is from Luke 6:31, “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.”
Unfortunately with the loss of religion in our society, we also seem to have lost our basic morals too. Fact checkers when your recourse is to lie about someone to get a goal, you do harm to them which of course is what you are looking for. Yet, you yourself would not like this to happen to you, but you have no problem doing it to someone else. Check yourself in the mirror. If you see someone who follows the “Golden Rule” you are in a good place. If not, prayer is where you need to lead yourself. Repentance for your sins is a good start and a turn toward God will get you to the place you truly need to be!
